Glow & Grow: A Safe Space for Black boys

Supporting Black Boys Navigating Fear, Safety, and Identity

Black boys often carry emotional burdens that are rarely named with the tenderness they deserve. Many are growing up in a world where their innocence is questioned, their bodies are misunderstood, and their identity is too often weaponized.

For some children, this can lead to fear of death, anxiety about safety, or confusion about how they are seen by others. These feelings are real. They are not overreactions. They are responses to living in a world that does not always treat Black boys with the care, protection, and dignity they deserve.

As parents, caregivers, educators, and helping professionals, our role is to create spaces where Black boys can feel safe, seen, emotionally supported, and deeply affirmed.
